I agree. I think everyone puts way too much importance on Klout. It really surprises me how many adults use it. To me, it seems like a teenage hot or not list. Influence is NOT determined by a number. And instead of the content, people are getting caught up over scores. It just gives everyone one more thing to be worried about.
The Big Problem With Influence And Klout
I agree. I think Klout is stupid. It really surprises me how many adults use it. To me, it seems like a teenage hot or not list. Influence is NOT determined by a number. And instead of the content, people are getting caught up over scores. It just gives everyone one more thing to be worried about.
I have no problem with +K not affecting score, it affects pre-score if you will. Klout thinks that I'm influential about WalMart and John McCain. That's only because I occasionally mention that certain PAGG ingredients or kettlebells are available at WalMart, and I tweeted back in 2008 and 2009 about John McCain. I need +Ks so that the list of topics Klout thinks I'm influential is more accurate and representative of my participation in social media.
