Why Being You Makes More Cents
Clever title huh? Before I jump into what this post is all about, I want to give you a few quick updates on some cool new additions.
#1: Live shows every Tuesday @9PM EST – I’ve been doing live shows for a little while now and now that I’m pretty comfortable with my current schedule, there will be weekly shows on specific topics. More on that in a sec and to RSVP for this week’s show, go to the channel on Ustream and click the “RSVP” button to get notified before we go live!
#2: More posts from other places – I’m not gonna lie…I haven’t been the most productive in getting more content out there. Yes, 4, 5, and even 6 days/week of posts and videos are great, but I feel like I can be doing A LOT more. So what I’m going to be doing is getting at least 2 guest posts in every week on other blogs. This will not only help me build my blog out further and build awareness, but I’ll be able to contribute some great value to other readers and yourself, if you so choose to check ‘em out.
#3: At least 2 audio or video interviews every month with cool people – I already have some ideas for this month and although I can’t promise they’ll be with some super awesome, extremely well known experts or gurus, I can promise I’ll be making sure to squeeze as much value out of the conversation as possible, every month.
#4: Social media consulting in full effect – This year marked the switch to one of my true and deepest passions: Social media. Before, I used to do a lot of freelance writing and although I enjoyed it, at the end of the day, it’s not what really makes me happy. Social media is at the core of my business and how I build out my entire brand. There’s quite a bit I learned over the last couple years and it’s my goal to share those things with other business owners, individuals, and charities.
Up until now, I haven’t been working as hard as I could in getting clients and really kicking ass in that area. As much as I love putting great content out there and building true relationships, those tasks solely don’t pay the bills.
